They’re nothing but regular ancients with maxed affixes. A normal ancient or even a basic legendary can be a better option than a primal, it really depends on the affixes.

After spending many hundreds of forgotten souls reforging I just made a primal ancient one. My primal from gr 70 was a primal puzzle ring. As always, the most efficient way to get an ancient version of a particular item is to reforge it. 10% chance to be ancient, so you'll need 10 attempts on average.

Reforging to switch classes sounds wayyy too expensive. Just find a GG amulet for both classes, then no need to switch. I actually upgrade rare the MOST out of any of these options.
